Zyflo® (zileuton) is a medication that can be prescribed to help prevent asthma attacks. It is approved for use in adults and children as young as 12 years old. Studies show that the medication can improve breathing and help decrease daytime and nighttime asthma symptoms. While most people tolerate Zyflo well, potential side effects include headache, indigestion or heartburn, nausea, and pain.
