Xopenex 1.25 mg

When treating adults and adolescents over the age of 12 with Xopenex® (levalbuterol hydrochloride), the maximum daily dose is Xopenex 1.25 mg three times a day. Typically, a healthcare provider will start with a lower dosage and increase your dose as necessary. However, your dosage will be based on several factors, such as your age, the severity of your respiratory problems, and other medications you are currently taking.
 
Xopenex Dosing for Children
The recommended Xopenex dose for children ages 6 to 11 is Xopenex 0.31 mg using a nebulizer three times a day. The maximum dose for this age group is Xopenex 0.63 mg three times a day.
 
Xopenex Dosage for Adults and Adolescents
For adults and adolescents age 12 and over, the recommended starting dose is Xopenex 0.63 mg three times a day. If necessary, your healthcare provider may increase your dose up to 1.25 mg three times a day.
