Xolair® (omalizumab) is a prescription medication approved for preventing attacks in people with allergic asthma whose symptoms cannot be controlled with inhaled corticosteroids. By binding to certain antibodies, the drug can block the effects of allergic reactions and help prevent asthma attacks. Xolair is given by injection every two to four weeks, usually by your healthcare provider.
