Xolair® (omalizumab), a prescription medication, is used for preventing asthma attacks in people with allergic asthma. It is generally given to people whose condition has not responded to inhaled corticosteroids. Xolair comes in injectable form and is administered every two to four weeks by your healthcare provider. Potential side effects of the drug include injection site reactions, body pain, and joint pain.
