Xolair® (omalizumab) is a medication used for preventing attacks in people with allergic asthma. It is specifically prescribed to people whose asthma symptoms cannot be adequately controlled with inhaled corticosteroids. Xolair blocks the effects of allergic reactions by binding to certain antibodies, which can help prevent asthma attacks. The medication is given by injection every two to four weeks.
