Xolair® (omalizumab) is a prescription drug approved for preventing asthma attacks in people with allergic asthma. It should be used by people whose asthma symptoms cannot be adequately controlled by inhaled corticosteroids. Although Xolair is not a cure for asthma, it can help prevent asthma attacks and reduce symptoms. The drug is injected just under the skin every two to four weeks.
