Cymbacort

If you experience asthma symptoms, your healthcare provider may recommend Symbicort® (budesonide and formoterol). This prescription medication works by reducing inflammation and relaxing the muscles around the airways to allow more air into and through the lungs. However, Symbicort does not work quickly; it should not be used for treating an asthma attack, but rather to prevent an asthma attack from occurring. The drug comes in the form of a metered-dose inhaler and is typically used twice a day.
