Dosing With Proair HFA

The dose of Proair HFA your healthcare provider recommends will vary depending on a number of factors, including:
 
  • Whether you use Proair HFA to treat or prevent asthma attacks
  • The severity of your asthma or other respiratory problems
  • Other medications you may be taking.
     
As always, do not adjust your Proair HFA dose unless your healthcare provider specifically instructs you to do so.

Side Effects of Proair HFA

As with any medicine, there are possible side effects with Proair HFA. However, not everyone who takes Proair HFA will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate the medication well. When Proair HFA side effects do occur, in most cases they are minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.
 
Common side effects of Proair HFA include but are not limited to:
 
  • An irritated or sore throat
  • Headaches
  • An irritated or runny nose.
