How Should Montelukast Be Stored?

Montelukast should be stored at room temperature, away from moisture and heat.
 
Keep montelukast and all medications out of the reach of children.
 

What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose of Montelukast?

If you do not take your montelukast as scheduled, take your missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose.
 

Strengths of Montelukast

Montelukast tablets and oral granules are available in the following strengths:
 
  • Montelukast 4 mg chewable tablets
  • Montelukast 5 mg chewable tablets
  • Montelukast 10 mg tablets
  • Montelukast oral granule packets -- containing 4 mg per packet.
     

Is There a Generic Version of Montelukast?

Currently, there is no generic montelukast licensed for sale (see Generic Singulair).
