Montelucaste

Montelukast is approved for the treatment of asthma (including exercise-induced attacks) and an itchy, stuffy, or runny nose that is the result of allergies. The medication helps prevent a reaction to allergens by blocking leukotriene receptors. Montelukast is available in tablet, granule, and chewable tablet form. How often it is taken depends on the condition the drug is being used to treat, among other factors.
