Montelikast

Montelukast can be used in the treatment of asthma (including exercise-induced attacks), as well as to relieve an itchy, stuffy, or runny nose that is the result of allergies. By blocking leukotriene receptors, the drug helps prevent a reaction to allergens. Montelukast is available as tablets, granules, and chewable tablets. Possible side effects include stomach pain, headaches, and the flu.
