Metaproterenol: Storage Methods

Metaproterenol should be stored at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. You should have a metaproterenol inhaler available at all times, especially if you have severe asthma attacks. Your metaproterenol inhaler should be cleaned regularly. Refer to the information that came with your metaproterenol inhaler for detailed instructions about how to clean the inhaler.
 
Keep metaproterenol and all other medications out of the reach of children.
 

Metaproterenol: What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose?

Metaproterenol is usually taken only when needed for an asthma attack. It is generally not taken on a regular basis.
 

Metaproterenol Strengths

Metaproterenol asthma inhalers are available in two sizes:
 
  • Metaproterenol inhalation aerosol, containing 200 inhalations with 0.65 mg per inhalation
  • Metaproterenol inhalation, containing 100 inhalations with 0.65 mg per inhalation (this smaller size is used as a "sample").
     

Generic Metaproterenol

Currently, there are no generic metaproterenol inhalers available. Even though all of the patents for metaproterenol have expired, no generic manufacturers have chosen to make generic metaproterenol inhalers.
