Asthma Home > Montelikast

Were you looking for information on Montelukast? Montelikast is a common misspelling of montelukast.

Montelukast can be used in the treatment of asthma (including exercise-induced attacks), as well as to relieve an itchy, stuffy, or runny nose that is the result of allergies. By blocking leukotriene receptors, the drug helps prevent a reaction to allergens. Montelukast is available as tablets, granules, and chewable tablets. Possible side effects include stomach pain, headaches, and the flu.

(Click Montelukast for more information, including what to tell your healthcare provider before taking the drug, general dosing guidelines, and what to do in case of overdose.)
