Flunisolide Inhaler Use in Children

Flunisolide inhalers are approved for asthma prevention in children six years of age and older. Young children usually require help using the flunisolide inhaler correctly. Be sure to talk with your healthcare provider about the best ways to treat childhood asthma. Inhaled steroids, such as the flunisolide inhaler, may slightly slow the growth of children or teenagers.
 

Off-Label Flunisolide Inhaler Uses

On occasion, your healthcare provider may recommend the flunisolide inhaler for something other than preventing asthma attacks. At this time, treating chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is an off-label use of the flunisolide inhaler.
