Flovent Overdose

There have been very few cases of people overdosing with Flovent, so it is not known what exactly to expect from a Flovent overdose. In previous studies, people have taken large doses of Flovent HFA for up to several days without experiencing serious problems. If a person takes too much Flovent for a long period of time, treatment (such as supportive care) may be necessary.

Flovent Overdose: An Overview

Flovent® HFA (fluticasone HFA) is a prescription medication used to prevent asthma attacks.

In this article, we use "Flovent" and "Flovent HFA" interchangeably to refer to Flovent HFA.

Flovent overdose effects will vary depending on a number of factors, including how much Flovent HFA is taken and whether it is taken with any other medicines, alcohol, street drugs, or a combination of these.

It is important that you seek medical attention immediately if you believe you may have overdosed on Flovent.

Flovent Overdose: What Does the Research Say?

It is not known what exactly to expect from a Flovent overdose. In previous studies, people have taken very large doses of Flovent HFA for up to several days without experiencing serious problems. While it appears that a short-term overdose of Flovent HFA is not likely to be dangerous, taking large doses of Flovent HFA long-term may cause serious problems.

Treatment for a Flovent Overdose

Given that there have been so few cases of people taking too much Flovent HFA, it is also not known what the best treatment is for a Flovent overdose. Many people who take too much Flovent will not require any treatment. If long-term overdose has occurred, treatment may be necessary. This treatment may include supportive care. This type of care consists of treating the symptoms that occur as a result of the overdose.
