Cromolyn Inhalation: What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose?

If you do not take your cromolyn inhalation as scheduled, take your missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose of cromolyn inhalation.
 

Cromolyn Inhalation Strengths

Cromolyn inhalers are available in two sizes:
 
  • Cromolyn 8.1 gram inhalers -- containing 112 inhalations (with 0.8 mg cromolyn sodium per inhalation)
  • Cromolyn 14.2 gram inhalers -- containing 200 inhalations (with 0.8 mg cromolyn sodium per inhalation).
     
Cromolyn nebulizer solution is available in single-use vials, with each 2 mL vial containing 20 mg cromolyn sodium.
 

Is There a Generic Version of Cromolyn Inhalation?

Currently, generic cromolyn nebulizer solution is available, while generic cromolyn inhalers are not currently available.
