Generic Brethine

Brethine® (terbutaline sulfate) is a prescription medication used to treat asthma and emphysema. It is part of a group of medications called beta adrenergic agonists.
 
Brethine was originally manufactured by Novartis Pharmaceuticals. However, Novartis has stopped making Brethine. It is common for manufacturers to stop making a brand-name medication, especially once its patents have expired. Fortunately, a few manufacturers have chosen to make generic versions of Brethine.
