Azmacort Uses (Cont.)

Azmacort Use in Children

Azmacort is approved to treat asthma in children six years of age and older. Young children usually require help using the Azmacort inhaler correctly. Be sure to talk to your healthcare provider about the best ways to treat childhood asthma. Inhaled steroids, such as Azmacort, may slightly slow the growth of children or teenagers.

Off-Label Azmacort Uses

On occasion, your healthcare provider may recommend Azmacort for something other than preventing asthma attacks. At this time, using Azmacort to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is an off-label use of Azmacort.
