Asmanex® is licensed to prevent, but not treat, asthma attacks. The medicine can be prescribed to adults and children who are at least 12 years old. It comes in a special inhaler called the Asmanex Twisthaler® and is taken once or twice a day. Possible side effects include upper respiratory infections, headaches, and sore throat.
