Asmanex 220 mcg

Asmanex® (mometasone inhaler) is a medication approved for the prevention of asthma attacks. It should not be used for treating an asthma attack; rather, it is used twice a day in order to prevent them.
 
The medicine comes in an inhaler, and you need a prescription to obtain Asmanex. 220 mcg of medication is delivered per inhalation, and the inhaler itself is available in different sizes (containing 14, 30, 60, or 120 inhalations per device).
 
The recommended Asmanex dosage varies depending on what type of asthma medication you had been previously taking. For people taking only inhaled asthma medications, the starting dose is Asmanex 220 mcg (one inhalation) once daily in the evening. For people taking oral steroids (such as prednisone), the starting dose (and maximum dose) is Asmanex 440 mcg (two inhalations) twice daily.
