If you suffer from asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), your healthcare provider may prescribe Advair^® (fluticasone and salmeterol). The medication works by opening up the airways to the lungs, which can become constricted during an airway spasm. It comes in two forms -- the Advair Diskus^® and the Advair HFA^® inhaler.

As with any medication, it is possible to take too much Advair. Seek immediate medical attention if you overdose on the drug. Symptoms of an overdose can include seizures, chest pain, and tremors.
