If you suffer from asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), your healthcare provider may prescribe Advair® (fluticasone and salmeterol). Advair works by opening up the airways to the lungs that can become constricted during an airway spasm. The medicine comes in two forms --the Advair Diskus® and the Advair HFA® inhaler. As with any medication, it is possible to take too much Advair. Seek immediate medical attention if you overdose on Advair. Symptoms of an Advair overdose can include seizures, chest pain, and tremors.
